Have your own logs? We can mill them on our TimberKing bandmill here in Wartrace, Tennessee. We take a limited number of custom jobs and schedule them around our own production, so expect to book a few weeks out.
Rates
- Milling: $185 per hour of saw time, at our mill.
- Minimum: 4 hours ($740) per job, paid when you book.
- Blades: $40 per blade used. $125 per blade that hits metal, rock, or concrete.
- Yard, fence-line, or storm trees: $50 per log. These trees often hide nails, wire, and fence staples.
- Stickering and stacking your lumber for drying: $95 per hour.
A typical hour of sawing produces 200 to 350 board feet, depending on the log and the cuts you want. There is no charge for the quote.
What we can cut
- Diameter: 12 to 36 in across. Up to 38 in if the log is dead straight.
- Length: up to 24 ft.
- Weight: up to 5,000 lb per log. A green oak log about 30 in across and 14 ft long is close to that limit.
What we need from you
- Logs cut clean and delivered to our mill. You haul them in and haul the lumber home.
- A cut list: slabs, boards, beams, or a mix, with thicknesses.
- Anything you know about metal in the tree. We check every log, but we charge for blades that hit metal.
