7 ft 4 in Tulip Poplar Book-Matched Live-Edge Slab Set, 20 to 24 in wide, 2 1/2 in thick (POP-26-03-01 and 02)

A matched pair of tulip poplar slabs, sawn one after the other from the same log, so the grain mirrors itself when you open them like a book. Each slab is 7 ft 4 in long, about 20 in wide through the middle and 24 in at the butt, 2 1/2 in thick, with bark along the edges. Slab 1 carries a dark streak down one edge near the top; slab 2 has dark heartwood sweeping across near the top. Both have an end check at the butt. The backs are lighter, with a few knots.

Air dried, $454 at $6.75 per board foot. It read 18% moisture on Sept 28, 2026 and is still air drying on the stack. Take it as is now, or we hold it until it reads 15% or under and you pick it up then.
