A matched pair of black walnut slabs, sawn one after the other from the same log, so the grain mirrors itself when you open them like a book. Each slab is 7 ft 1/2 in long and 2 1/2 in thick, with swirling crotch figure around a cluster of knots near the top end, straight chocolate heartwood running down the length, and cream sapwood with bark on both edges. Slab 01 runs 20 to 25 in wide, with purple-toned heartwood and a dark knot at its widest point. Slab 02 runs 24 to 26 in wide, with three knots in the figured top end and a loose strip of bark along one edge beside them.

Green, $1,062 for both slabs, at $15.25 per board foot. Load it and go, you do the drying.

Want it dried? Choose Air dried, $1,324 or Kiln dried, $1,777 (6 to 9% moisture) in the buying options above. Drying takes months, not weeks. We air dry the set on the stack first, then finish it at a commercial kiln if you chose kiln dried. We start the day you order, email you a ready date, and you pick it up when it is done. Rather put down a deposit? $620 holds it while it dries, with the balance at pickup. Send us a message.

Both slabs sell together as one set. One set, one of a kind. Once it sells, it comes off the shelf.
