A matched pair of hackberry slabs, sawn one after the other from the same log, so the grain mirrors itself when you open them like a book. Each slab is 12 ft 9 in long and 1 1/4 in thick, with bark along both edges. Slab 01 runs 16 to 19 in wide and slab 02 runs 19 to 20 in. Both have pale, creamy sapwood with a gray-brown streak and small knots down the middle. Slab 02 has a short branch stub on one edge near the top end.
